Children are born with inalienable rights and are entitled to live a dignified life like everyone else. However children all over the world have become the invisible victims of host of abuses. Some abuses are unintended but most are purposefully driven against children. Unintended abuses include tribal fight, refugees, orphans and HIV-AIDS passed through the mother but others like child bride, child prostitution, child labor, verbal and sexual abuse and others are directed at children. These vices reduce children to be mere objects for manipulation and gratification for the adults. Children who have been abused and such live through them with pain, shame and hurt and the effects will resurface later in adult life as misfits, develop violent behavior, withdrawn from society, develop variable mood swings, develop criminal behavior, personality complexes or end up as mentally retarded or deranged persons.  Given that children must be given a well balanced home environment to grow up in and a well suited environment for study and work so that they develop normally to realize their full potential contributing to the development of this nation. The children’s program has identified the following activities within the respective components to address the children issues. This program will implement the CRC or the Child Rights Convention of the United Nation and all related national legislation.
